How do I setup my phone on the CDMAS network?

Activation Method 1:  Hands Free activation

The easiest way to complete an activation on Red Pocket Mobile CDMA-S will be to reboot device to try to trigger Hands Free Activation on Device startup.   If the Hands Free Activation is not initiated within 3 minutes of activation, try to perform a Soft Reset on the Device.

You can perform a soft reset by following the prompts below:

  • Make sure Device is powered on
  • Dial ##SCRTN# (72786)
  • Device will either reboot automatically or will ask you to enter OK
  • Device will reboot and should enter Hands Free Activation within 5 Minutes.
  • Follow prompts by pressing OK during Hands Free Activation when asking for approval updating device settings.
  • Device may reboot for a second time once hands free activation has completed
  • Place a test call to Red Pocket Mobile by dialing 611

If call cannot reach the Red Pocket Mobile automated system, please follow steps to verify device programming.  

If you have a Google Nexus Device Model such as the Samsung Nexus S, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, or Google Nexus 5,  please dial  *#*#72786#*#* to perform a soft reset.

Activation Method 2:  Manually Program Device

Older Devices may require manual programming to complete the activation.   For manual programming, please make sure you have the 6-Digit MSL and MSID for the account. 

  • Dial ##MSL#
  • Change the MDN to your Red Pocket Mobile Number
  • Change the MSID to the MSID associated with your Red Pocket Mobile Number
  • Follow prompts to continue or to save the manual programming
  • Your device should automatically reboot
  • Place a test call to Red Pocket Mobile by dialing 611

 

If call cannot reach the Red Pocket Mobile automated system, please follow steps for Activation Troubleshooting.

If you have a Google Nexus Device Model such as the Samsung Nexus S, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, or Google Nexus 5,  please dial  *#*#MSL#*#* to initiate Manual Programming.

iPhone Activations

To activate an iPhone on Red Pocket CDMA-S, please do the following:

  • Dial ##UPDATE# (873283) and press Call Button
  • Press OK for Starting Service Update
  • Press OK for Service Update Complete
  • If you get a failure, please confirm you are connected to WiFi and re-attempt
  • Place a test call to Red Pocket Mobile by dialing 611
