How does roll-over data work?

In order to use this generous Data Rollover Benefit, just pay the Base Fee for either the Explorer Plan ($9/Gb) or the Jetsetter Plan ($15/Gb) every 30 days to keep your account active.

As long as the account is active, then unused data will carry over to the next month.

Red Pocket believes in freedom of data-not restricted to your home country and not expired as long as the account remains active.

Can I add more data to my plan?

Yes! Adding more data is easy. Visit redpocket.com/my-lines and select the option to "Purchase Add-ons". Add-ons are available in 1GB increments for just $8/GB on the Explorer Plan and $15/GB on the Jetsetter plan. Want more good new? Add-on data rolls over too!

Please Note: If you have run out of data, you will need to join another data network in order to complete your top-up.

Red Pocket Global Internet has no roaming surcharges? What’s the catch?

There is no catch! A simple low cost rate provides access to the eligible roaming region. There are no hidden fees and no roaming surcharges.

Is there a contract?

There is no contract either. Just purchase the amount of data you need and refill as necessary.

Can I use the Red Pocket Global Internet service in the US?

Yes, you can use your Global Internet service in the US or anywhere in the eligible roaming region.

Is my data throttled?

Red Pocket will not throttle (slow down) your data speed. Your actual data speed is determined by the network coverage at your location, just like with any other cellular service. Red Pocket partners with the top network providers in our roaming region to ensure the widest LTE coverage.

Is there a limit to how many countries I can use Red Pocket Global Internet in a single trip?

There is no set limit on how many countries you can use Red Pocket Global Internet in a single trip. As long as you haven’t used up your data balance, you can use your data in as many countries as you are able to, only limited to the country list of either the Explorer Plan or the Jetsetter Plan.

For travelers with a multi-country itinerary, Red Pocket Global Internet can bring substantial savings because travelers would not need to purchase multiple SIM cards-one for each country.

May I use a VPN?

Yes you may. Red Pocket does not restrict VPN usage.

May I bring my own device? How about iPhones and Android devices?

For hotspot devices, we offer the Red Pocket Global Internet device. You can also bring your own compatible device and use our Global Internet CDMAS SIM.

Please note these are data-only plans, and you cannot make voice calls from your mobile phone dialer while using the Global Internet CDMAS SIM even on iPhone or Android devices.

What are Sprint Compatible Devices for Red Pocket Global Internet?

  • iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus.
  • iPhone 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, and iPhone X.
  • iPhone XS, XS Max, XR.
  • iPad Air, Air 2, Air Refresh, Mini 3, Mini 4, iPad 9.7”, Pro 10.5”, Pro 11”, Pro 12.9”
  • Samsung Galaxy S7 Special Edition, S7 Edge Special Edition, S10, S10e, S10e Special Edition, S10 Special Edition, S10 Plus Special Edition.
  • Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, Note 8, S9, S9 Plus, Note 9.
  • LG G7 Fit, G8 ThinQ.
  • Motorola G7, G7 Power, G7 Play.
  • Google Nexus 5, 6, 6P.
  • Google Nexus 5X.
  • Google Pixel, Pixel XL.
  • Google Pixel 2, 2XL.

If I can’t make voice calls from the mobile phone dialer, is there an alternative?

Yes, you can make voice calls using apps such as WhatsApp, FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, Viber, Line, and many others. Since this is a data-only plan, regular voice calls (from the dialer) are not supported.

Does Red Pocket Global Internet use 4G LTE? What are the typical connection speeds?

Yes, Red Pocket Global Internet uses LTE for internet connectivity by working with the top mobile networks in every country where we offer service. Your LTE coverage depends on local factors such as network signal strength at your location, and which country the device is in. While we expect LTE to be widely available, we cannot guarantee it due to local network conditions outside of our control. We have seen LTE speeds from 5Mbps to 50Mbps, depending on country and strength of signal.

How do I know when to refill my data balance?

Please check your prepaid balance regularly, and refill as necessary.

Why do I need Red Pocket Global Internet? Don’t I get free roaming on T-Mobile already?

T-Mobile and Sprint only provides “free roaming” at “2G” speeds, which is extremely slow. In order to have a “full speed” international roaming experience on T-Mobile and Sprint, you would need to pay a daily or weekly surcharge. Red Pocket’s Global Internet is a full speed product, and you don’t have to pay any additional surcharge for it.

Can’t I just use public WiFi when I travel?

While many travelers do take advantage of public WiFi in places such as hotel lobbies and restaurants, the problem is public WiFi has limited availability, especially when the traveler is on the go. Red Pocket Global Internet will be available anywhere there is an LTE signal, which usually means blanket coverage in a country. Thus, there is no need to go hunting for a public WiFi hotspot with Red Pocket Global Internet. Red Pocket’s network partners are typically the top mobile network operators in each country, with coverage breath and coverage density that often surpass that of the US.

The second problem with public WiFi is the lack of security and privacy on open public networks. Hackers are known to target public WiFi access points because they are easy targets. (Note: for this reason, you should avoid conducting financial transactions involving passwords, credit card numbers and account numbers over public WiFi. Confidential business information is also vulnerable to hackers in public WiFi as well). Red Pocket Global Internet is your own private data connection, so as long as your device is protected by an adequate password, you have much better privacy and security than public WiFi.

What is your privacy policy?

Red Pocket respects your privacy and is committed to the highest privacy standards in the industry. Here is our full privacy statement:
