How do I find my serial number? MEID, ESN, IMEI, or ICCID number?

Dial *#06#, check your phone's settings section, or look underneath your phone's battery to find the device's serial number.

There are many reasons you'll want to know your phone's serial number, for example, you need to enter your phone's MEID or IMEI number on the activation page when you activate your Red Pocket Mobile SIM.

There are three major ways to locate your phone's serial number.

Option One: Dial *#06#

On Verizon-compatible, T-Mobile compatible, AT&T-Compatible, and most GSM unlocked phones, open your phone's dialer and dial *#06#. On some phones, your request for your phone's serial number will begin automatically. On other phones, you'll have to press the "CALL" button to trigger the request.

A screen will appear with all of your phone's relevant serial numbers.

On Sprint-compatible phones, you'll need to dial ##786# instead.

Option Two: Look in your phone settings

You can also locate your phone's serial numbers from within the Settings section.

On your iPhone, tap on Settings > then General > then About.

On your Android phone, tap on Settings > then About Phone > then Status.

On other phone models, tap on Settings > then Phone Information.

Option Three: Look underneath your phone's battery

Not all phones have a removable battery compartment, but if yours does you will likely be able to find your phone's serial number underneath the battery.

Step 1: Open your phone's battery compartment.

Step 2: Remove the phone's battery.

Step 3: Check for a sticker with phone data. Your phone's serial number will be printed on the sticker.

iPhones do not have removable batteries, however, you can usually find your phone's serial number printed right on the back of the phone. No need to open the battery compartment!

What is the difference between a MEID, IMEI, and ESN number? What is an ICCID number?

ESN stands for "Embedded SIM technology". MEID and IMEI are different types of ESN numbers.

MEID numbers are typically found on devices that utilize CDMA technology. IMEI numbers are typically found on devices that utilize GSM technology. In short, GSM technology relies on SIM cards to power the phone's calling, texting, and internet access features while on CDMA phones, your plan and service details are applied to the device itself.

And ICCID number is the serial number for your SIM Card. Your phone has a serial or ESN number -- an MEID or an IMEI number -- and your SIM card has a serial number -- the ICCID.

How can I find my SIM card's ICCID number?

You can find your SIM card's ICCID number directly on the back of the SIM card. Even if you are using a nano-sized SIM card, your ICCID number will usually be found on the back of the card in very small print.

You can also find your SIM card ICCID number by going into your phone's Settings. It's located right next to the phone's MEID or IMEI number, so long as the SIM card has been inserted into the phone.

Do eSIMs have an ICCID number?

Yes, just like physical SIM cards, an eSIM has an ICCID number as well.
