Placing your first call and sending your first text message are important to the setup process. Read this article to learn how to complete setup.
Does your account have a plan?
Red Pocket Mobile sells two SIM cards in Target retail stores; SIMs pre-loaded with a talk, text and data plan and SIM cards with no plan attached (the plan can be added later, after activation).
If you purchased a SIM card without a plan, make sure to login to your account at redpocket.com/my-lines and complete an initial refill. Click on your line, click on UPGRADE Plan and select a plan for your new line.
If you purchased a pre-loaded SIM card, then your account already has a plan.
Setup your phone
After you have activated your Target SIM card, setup your phone. GSMT and GSMA SIM cards will need to complete APN configuration.

CDMAS and CDMA SIM card activations do not require APN configuration. You can place your first call and send your first text. You'll also want to setup your voicemail box.
Calling and Texting
It's important that you place a call, for your device to start working. Keep in mind, calling or texting VoIP phone numbers may not work during this setup process. You must call a regular, cellular number or landline number.
Simply open your phone's dialer and dial the number you'd like to reach. Then, send a text message to a valid cellular phone number.
Once completed, you can expect inbound and outbound calling and texting to work normally from then on.
