# How do I activate an iPhone with eSIM if I don’t have access to a Wi-Fi network?

If you have an iPhone 14 series phone (or later iPhone model), you can set up an eSIM without needing Wi-Fi. During the setup process, simply select **“Continue without Wi-Fi”** to activate your new eSIM at no cost.

For older iPhone models or Android devices, using Wi-Fi is strongly recommended. You can access free Wi-Fi at places like libraries or coffee shops, or connect through a personal Wi-Fi hotspot to complete activation. Once your eSIM is set up, your device will work without Wi-Fi going forward.
