End of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) at RedPocket Mobile

RedPocket would like to inform customers participating in the ACP that April 2024 is the last fully-funded month. Though April is the ACP’s last fully-funded month, RedPocket will extend this benefit through May 2024.

According to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the program is set to end in April 2024. A partial benefit will be applied to the month of May.

This article provides important details on the closure of the ACP and guidance on how to transition to a regular plan.

What is the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a federal initiative to help households afford internet service. RedPocket has been a participating carrier in this program, which has offered subsidized cell phone and broadband services to eligible customers.

Timeline and Reasons for the ACP Closure

  • Last Fully-Funded Month: April 2024 is the final month the ACP will be fully funded.
  • Partial Benefit Extended into May: Though April is the ACP’s last fully-funded month, RedPocket will extend this benefit through May 2024. This makes May 2024 the last billing cycle for eligible customers to receive the ACP benefit. If you don't switch to one of our paid plans by the end of May, your ACP line will be suspended. After this period, the program will officially end.
  • Closure Information: Customers can visit the FCC's official website for detailed reasons behind the ACP’s winding down.
