What is VoLTE, how do I enable it, and how does it work?

VoLTE stands for Voice-over-LTE.

What is VoLTE?

VoLTE stands for Voice-over-LTE. VoLTE allows you to make and receive calls using your phone's data, with your existing RedPocket phone number.

You must have a VoLTE-compatible phone.

For the GSMT, GSMA, and CDMA networks, VoLTE can be used with all VoLTE-capable phones.

How do I set up VoLTE on my RedPocket account?

If you are using the GSMA or the GSMT network, no setup is required!  If you are using the CDMA network, contact our customer service team and request to have VoLTE enabled.

Chat with us using the LiveChat icon in the bottom right corner of the page, send us an email at support@redpocket.com, or call us at (712) 775-8777.

Once my account is updated, how do I use VoLTE?

Make sure to turn the VoLTE feature ON and then set your calling preferences. Steps vary depending on your device type.

Does VoLTE use my RedPocket voice minutes and/or LTE data?

VoLTE will deduct your minutes at the same rate as a regular calling, but will not deduct from your LTE data balance.

Is WiFi calling different from VoLTE?

WiFi calling allows you to make and receive calls, and text messages, using a WiFi network, with your existing RedPocket phone number. If you've got a phone, that has WiFi calling capabilities, then you may be able to take advantage of WiFi calling. Learn more about WiFi calling here.
