Call forwarding - How to forward a call on RedPocket

RedPocket Mobile supports call forwarding on the GSMA, CDMA, and GSMT networks.

Call forwarding lets you redirect incoming calls to another number, so you don’t miss important calls when you’re unavailable. The feature is easy to set up on both iPhone and Android devices. Below, you’ll find step-by-step instructions for each platform.

Note: If you’re using a feature phone (sometimes called a “basic” or “non-smartphone”), please refer to this article for instructions on forwarding calls on those devices.

 
Why use call forwarding?

Call forwarding is beneficial for several reasons:

  • Never Miss Important Calls: Forward calls to another number when you're unavailable or out of reach.
  • Streamline Communication: Route calls to a specific number based on your schedule or preferences.
  • Enhance Accessibility: Stay connected to clients, colleagues, and loved ones seamlessly.
 
Steps on iPhone:
  1. Tap on Settings
  2. Scroll down and select Phone
  3. Under Calls, tap on Call Forwarding.

    Note:
    If you don’t see this option, contact us so that we can enable it for you.
  4. Toggle the switch next to Call Forwarding.

    Note: If you’re using multiple lines, you’ll first need to select which line call forwarding applies to. 
  5. Enter the number you want to forward calls to.
  6. Once you've entered the forwarding number, your calls will be automatically forwarded to that number.
  7. To turn off call forwarding, simply toggle the switch next to Call Forwarding off.

Steps on Android:

Note: If you’re using multiple lines, you’ll need to select which line call forwarding applies to. 

  1. Launch the Phone application
  2. Tap on the three-dot menu icon or More.
  3. From the menu, choose Settings or Call Settings
  4. Depending on your device, look for Call Forwarding or a similar option.

    Note: If you don’t see this option, contact us so that we can enable it for you.
  5. Tap on Call Forwarding and then select Voice Call or Voice Call Settings.
  6. Enter the number you want to forward calls to.
  7. Once you've entered the forwarding number, save the settings.
  8. Your calls will now be forwarded to the designated number.
  9. To stop call forwarding, revisit the Call Forwarding settings and disable the feature.

Once enabled, calls will not ring on your initial device. They will be forwarded to the new number and will ring wherever the new number is located.
