TickTalk Watch - No internet connection

If you're experiencing issues with your internet connection, you may need to manually set up your smartwatch's Access Point Name (APN) settings. These configurations are essential for establishing a data connection between RedPocket Mobile and your TickTalk watch.

First, connect to WiFi

Before proceeding with the configuration steps, it's important to connect your smartwatch to WiFi. This will help ensure a smoother setup process. For a visual guide, TickTalk has created helpful videos on their YouTube channel. You can watch this video for a step-by-step demonstration on how to connect your watch to your home WiFi network.

Step 1: Tap on your watch’s Settings application.

Step 2: Scroll down until you see WiFi.

Step 3: Look for your home WiFi’s network name. This information is usually found on the back of your WiFi router.

Step 4: Tap on your home WiFi network name and then type in your WiFi password. Again, this information is usually found on the back of the WiFi router.

Step 5: Tap connect to connect your smartwatch to WiFi. Your WiFi connection will be saved on your smartwatch automatically. You will reconnect to this WiFi network automatically, anytime you are within range of the WiFi router.

Next, Configure APN Settings

Once connected to WiFi, you can complete the steps to update your phone's APN settings. APN settings allow your device to receive a wireless connection from the network. For a visual guide, TickTalk has created helpful videos on their YouTube channel. You can watch this video for a step-by-step demonstration on how to connect your watch to your home WiFi network.

Step 1: Tap your watch Settings.

Step 2: Scroll down until you see Edit APN.

Step 3: The RedPocket Mobile APN should appear in the list of APN settings by default, so long as your SIM card has been inserted into your watch. If there is a RedPocket Mobile APN setting in the list, tap on it to select it. If there are no RedPocket Mobile APN settings appearing, tap the plus sign in the top right corner of the screen to add a new one.

Step 4: Enter the APN settings that apply to the network you're using with your TickTalk watch. RedPocket Mobile supports three different networks! Click here to learn about the differences between our networks.
