Does RedPocket Mobile support roaming?

International roaming is included with RedPocket Mobile GSMA plans. The Essentials, Plus, and Premium plans include roaming in over 60 countries (roam to additional countries with added credit). Roaming is not available on CDMA and GSMT plans at this time. 

International roaming refers to using your phone in countries outside of the United States. It does not include domestic partner network coverage provided by the underlying carrier in rural or low-coverage areas within the U.S.

 

Traveling to the U.S.?

If you’re traveling to the U.S. from abroad, you can download a RedPocket eSIM during your trip. Visit redpocket.com/plans to choose a plan, add it to your cart, and select eSIM as your delivery method.

RedPocket offers both monthly and annual plans, but for short visits, a monthly plan provides the most flexibility. Your eSIM can be purchased, activated, and set up in just a few minutes.

 

Important plan version note

Essentials and Plus plans activated before December 2025 may include fewer roaming countries. To access the most up-to-date list of supported countries, you’ll need to upgrade to the latest version of your plan.

Note: Some plan features may change when you upgrade. Select “Learn More” on the plan page to understand what’s different between your current plan and the latest version.

 

Here’s how to upgrade your plan:

  1. Visit redpocket.com/my-lines. 
  2. Select your line. 
  3. Go to Plans. 
  4. Choose the Essentials, Plus, or Premium plan. Even if you’re already on one of these plans, selecting it will upgrade you to the latest version.
  5. Submit payment. 

When your billing cycle renews, your line will be updated with the latest plan version and the most current list of roaming countries.

 

How to enable roaming:

This is important: Roaming must be enabled for the country you plan to visit before you travel.

You must enable roaming domestically, while on the RedPocket U.S. Network. Roaming cannot be enabled once you are already located in your destination country. 

  1. Visit redpocket.com/my-lines. 
  2. Select your line. 
  3. Select the Roaming tab.
  4. Select your destination country from the dropdown menu. 
  5. Select Enable Roaming. 

Some countries are included for free in your plan, and your roaming balances can be used for roaming in that country. 

After your roaming destination has been set, you'll need to enable roaming on your device.

Each plan comes with a set of roaming minutes, text messages and data. Add more with credit. 

 

Essentials Plan

  • 60+ countries are included
  • 100 Roaming minutes 
  • 100 Roaming messages
  • 1GB of Roaming Data

 

Plus Plan

  • 60+ countries are included
  • 100 Roaming minutes 
  • 100 Roaming messages
  • 1GB of Roaming Data

 

Premium Plan

  • 60+ countries are included
  • 100 Roaming minutes 
  • 100 Roaming messages
  • 10GB of Roaming Data

Other countries are available, however you will need to add credit to roam to those countries.

 

Adding credit

To add roaming credit to your line, go to the Roaming tab in your account. From there, you can choose a Roaming Add-on or add $10, $25, or $50 in roaming credit using the Add Credit widget. 

You can also go to the Add-Ons tab and select Roaming Add-ons from there. 

Credit can be used for calling, texting, and data usage. To see how far your credit will go, you can use the “See rates” link on the Roaming tab. You can also go to redpocket.com/roaming-rates. 

Credit expires after your plan renews and new balances are added. We recommend using all of your roaming credit before your plan cycle ends.

The following countries are included in your GSMA RedPocket Mobile plan. Your plan’s roaming minutes, text messages, and data balance can be used during visits to these countries. Additional countries can be accessed with added roaming credit.
