Placing your first phone call
The first call is important—it ensures that both incoming and outgoing calls work correctly. To test, make sure to dial a standard U.S. cellular or landline number, not a VoIP number such as Google Voice, Hangouts, MagicJack, or WhatsApp.
If you're having problems with your new connection, you may also need to send or receive a text message to activate texting services. Again, avoid texting VoIP numbers.
International Calls
To place an international call, dial 1 before the number. You can make international calls once setup is complete. For more details, see our article “Is international calling free with RedPocket Mobile?”
