What is tethering?
Tethering -- using your phone as a wifi hotspot -- is a supported feature, however not all phone models support phone hotspot/tethering. Check your phone manufacturer's user guide to see if your device supports tethering.
IMPORTANT: Tethering and Hotspot service availability will vary depending on the network and device. Please contact support to enable services.
CDMA: Tethering and Hotspot services are supported on most iOS devices.
GSMA / GSMT: Tethering is supported on most Android and iOS Devices.
To enable tethering/wifi hotspot on iPhone devices:
Open up your phone's Settings application and tap on personal hotspot. Then, toggle the hotspot setting to the on position. Tap on Wi-Fi Password to manage the WiFi hotspot's network name and password.
To enable tethering/wifi hotspot on an Android Pixel or Nexus phone:
Open up your phone's settings and tap on More. Then tap on Tethering & Portable Hotspot. Finally, tap Setup WiFi Hotspot. You can view and edit the WiFi hotspot's network name and password.
To enable tethering/wifi hotspot on other Android devices:
Open up your phone's Settings application and tap on Mobile Hotspot and Tethering. Then, tap on Mobile Hotspot. You can edit the WiFi hotspot's network name and password.
