Before troubleshooting, confirm that both your plan and your device support mobile hotspot.   ##### Device compatibility Hotspot (also called *data hotspot*, *mobile hotspot*, or *Wi‑Fi tethering*) is supported on Red Pocket Mobile across all networks and on both Android and iOS devices. However, you’ll still need to confirm that your specific device supports mobile hotspot. Some older models (pre-2011) may not include hotspot functionality. For confirmation, refer to your device manufacturer’s user guide. **Note:** You can switch between supported networks using RedPocket’s [CoverageGenius](https://help.redpocket.com/coveragegenius-tool?hsLang=en)℠ feature. Learn more.   ##### Plan compatibility Only **Premium** and **Legacy Elite** plans include a dedicated hotspot data allowance. Once your hotspot data balance is used, you’ll need to purchase a hotspot data add-on to continue using hotspot. Be sure to check your account to confirm you have available hotspot data.
