New iPhone Models Are eSIM Only (Transferring your physical SIM card to an eSIM)

RedPocket offers both physical and digital SIM cards (also known as eSIM cards). With the release of the iPhone 14 series models and the iPhone 15 series models, many people are concerned about the eSIM requirement.

Apple’s latest iPhones do not support physical SIM cards; you must use an eSIM with these new devices.

But don’t worry! RedPocket makes switching from your physical SIM Card to an eSIM card easy. Here’s how.

For existing RedPocket customers

You can easily switch from your physical SIM card to an eSIM if you have an existing phone line.

When you receive your iPhone in the mail, you'll receive a pamphlet with your unique Confirmation Code.

Step 1: Log in to your online account at redpocket.com/my-lines

Step 2: Click on the line you'd like to switch over to eSIM.

Step 3: Click on the Summary Tab. If you're on your phone, scroll down until you see the Line Details section.

Step 4: Tap "REPLACE SIM or eSIM" and select "Swap to eSIM".

Step 5: Enter your Confirmation Code. Your line's SIM will be updated.

Step 6: Once processed, click the link in the popup that appears to retrieve your new eSIM setup information, including your unique QR code. Your phone number and plan now apply to your new eSIM.

Step 7: Remove your physical SIM card from your phone. Your physical SIM card will no longer work. You may discard it.
