Managing phone number on the iPhone 14

How do I transfer my number to my new iPhone 14?

Your phone number can be transferred to your new iPhone 14 during the activation process.

  1. Visit redpocket.com/activate and enter your Confirmation Code. Choose to start a phone number transfer during the activation process. This will open up the number transfer request form.
  2. Please fill out this form as completely and correctly as possible. Any inaccurate information can delay the number transfer process. It's a good idea, if possible, to contact your previous wireless carrier and ask to speak with their "Number Transfer Department" specifically, as some wireless carriers have teams that specifically handle number transfers and this way you will avoid inaccurate data.
  3. If all the information that you provide on our website is accepted by your previous carrier, the number transfer  process will begin. It can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to complete the number transfer, however, porting in a landline number can take about 14 working days.

Prepaid wireless accounts all have Account Numbers and Passwords, even if you don't know them. If in doubt, please contact your current wireless provider and request your Account Number and Password, specifically for transferring a number, to ensure a smooth port-in process.

Your eSIM QR code is not involved in the number transfer process. The number transfer process is handled entirely during the activation process. Once your phone number transfer has been confirmed (we'll update you by email) you can start the eSIM installation process on your phone.

Even if you already have an eSIM, you'll need to complete the process explained above. You would not be able to transfer your phone number from your old eSIM to your new Red Pocket Mobile eSIM, automatically.  You'll need to receive a new Red Pocket Mobile eSIM and process a number transfer during the activation process. Your old eSIM can be deleted after the number transfer is finished.

How do I move my phone number from my Android device to an eSIM on my new iPhone 14?
The same steps apply for a phone number transfer from Android to your iPhone eSIM. Because a new eSIM is required for all new line activations, you'll need to:

  1. Purchase a new plan and select eSIM delivery. Note that customers with an existing plan can simply request a free eSIM swap! Learn more
  2. Once you have your eSIM and plan, visit redpocket.com/activate to initiate the activation process.
  3. Enter your confirmation code and device serial number.
  4. During activation, when prompted, choose to transfer a number instead of getting a new phone number.
  5. Enter the number you want to transfer over to Red Pocket.
  6. Enter your previous carrier account number and PIN.
  7. Fill out the rest of the activation form and submit your activation details.
